What is AAC?
AAC encompasses a wide variety of communication methods designed to supplement and enhance speech for those with impairments in the production or comprehension of language. This includes everything from sign language and visual aids to electronic devices that generate speech.

About Amanda
Amanda has extensive experience working with children who use low and/or high tech AAC devices. Some systems she has used include Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), alphabet boards, eye gaze, speech output switches and communication buttons (e.g., BIGmack, iTalk2), Proloquo2Go, TouchChat, NovaChat, LAMP Words for Life, and TD Snap Core First. Amanda believes in helping individuals find their voice using total communication.
Individual Services: Family and/or Multidisciplinary Therapist Coaching
Our individual AAC coaching services are designed to provide personalized support for families and therapists working with a child using an AAC device. The service includes:

One 60-minute in-person introductory training session

Six 40-minute virtual follow-up consultation appointments

Provider available daily for quick help questions

An individualized reference guide with how-to recommendations for use and setup, tailored to client/family needs
Group Services: AAC Facility or Classroom Training
Our group services focus on providing AAC training for facilities or classrooms. This training is not usually student-specific but includes general principles and recommendations for all users. The service includes:

One 30-minute presentation covering 'What is AAC', 'What AAC is not', and 'Why AAC', along with program/system options

One 45-minute presentation diving into one system of choice
